A junction is where two roads meet at the same time. While driving, you will come across different types of junctions. When you're coming up to a junction, there will usually be road markings and signs to signal the junction and who has priority.

What are the different types of junctions?

There are many different types of junctions that you will learn during your driving lessons. Here are some common types of junctions you will encounter:

  • T-junction
  • Roundabouts
  • Cross Road
  • Mini roundabouts

How to approach a junction?

When approaching any type of junction, you will need to apply the MSPSL routine. As with most things when driving, observation is key to approaching junctions safely. Following the MSPSL routine correctly will ensure junctions are approached correctly and safely.
